The underground concrete reservoir and its distribution system were constructed in the late 1930’s. Throughout the years, the facility has had numerous upgrades, however, these upgrades were found to be non-compliant with Pennsylvania DEP regulations. In order to become compliant, the supply wells, chemical dosing, chemical monitoring, and scada system had to be upgraded which included installation of remote monitoring systems at each of the four supply wells consisting of level transducers, flow meters, and wireless communication devices, construction of a new chemical monitoring building with chemical storage tanks and dosing pumps, installation of new chlorine analyzer, upgrades to the facilities electrical and scada system, and new underground utilities throughout the facility.
