Hurricane Ida Flood Repairs at Evansburg State Park
Collegeville, Pennsylvania
Description:
This project was fully funded through FEMA and required reconstructing the approaches at two bridges located within Evansburg State Park in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. During the hurricane, Skipjack Creek rose more than 17 feet which resulted in significant damage to the grading, structures, and roadways at each bridge. Maverick’s contract consisted of removing debris, regrading the sites, repairing washouts with rip rap, reconstructing damaged fences and masonry walls, and rebuilding the asphalt approaches. Maverick worked closely with the park rangers to minimize impact to the public and was able to keep the trails open during the full duration of construction.
